Amien Street

Dublin City Council invited Crosscare to deliver a ‘cold weather response’ Night Service to the growing number of people sleeping rough on the streets, in particular to younger men (over 18yrs) who misuse drugs. The Night Service initially opened in Amiens Street on 16th December 2005 to run for a period of six months, with referral by the Dublin City Council Night Bus.

In 2006, Dublin City Council asked Crosscare to maintain the service throughout the year, and so Amiens Street Night Service is now open all year.

Amiens Street Night Service operates from 10pm to 10am, and offers a food service, laundry, showers and personal lockers. There is a limited referral available in the mornings to other relevant services.
Amiens Street Night Service makes one emergency bed available to Simon Rough Sleepers’ Team.

Total number of beds: 20
