Haven HouseIn May 2011 Crosscare took over Haven House which was supported accommodation for women and children ran by the HSE. They set up Supported Temporary Accommodation which provided supported accommodation for up to six months for homeless adults with complex needs. We provided permanent six month beds for 61 adults, 17 females, and 44 men. We provided an additional 20 emergency one night beds that were referred in by the night bus.

In August 2011 we phased out the emergency beds and provided eighty two permanent six month beds, our aim is to reduce our numbers in the coming months, beds will only be decommissioned when our clients have positive move on into independent living. Our aim is to empower individuals to live independently in the future by equipping them with independent living skills with the support of onsite staff.

Crosscare Haven house place the client at the heart of the service, where all work and supports is tailored to meet their individual needs.

Haven House

What We Do

Haven House Supported Temporary Accommodation (STA) offers accommodation to persons with complex support needs, including drug and alcohol dependency, mental ill health, ex-offenders, young persons leaving care.  Service users complete an holistic assessment of their needs upon entry, from this key workers draw up a support plan and try to map the individuals way through whatever brought them to homelessness and ultimately to secure long term accommodation.

We work closely with other stakeholders and link in our service users with services and main stream services like GP’s, primary and secondary health care services, Housing support services and settlement support services.
