Crosscare Housing and Welfare Information (CHWI), Crosscare Migrant Project (CMP) and Crosscare Refugee Service (CRS), are based in Cathedral Street. The projects provide direct information and advocacy services in the areas of housing, homelessness, social welfare, immigration issues, health and wellbeing-related issues, emigration, returning emigrants and asylum seeker and refugee issues. The projects also have a remit to undertake research and publications work, and use the experience of their clients to promote solutions to recurring issues at a policy level.  We work with over 4,500 people and families every year.

Crosscare Housing and Welfare Information

We work with people experiencing poverty and social exclusion with a core focus on preventing homelessness and advocating for access to social protection and homelessness supports. We also provide specialist clinics on social welfare and homeless issues with the help of volunteer interpreters from the Polish and Roma community. We promote the needs of our clients at a policy level as well.

Crosscare Refugee Services

We work with refugees, asylum seekers and people who were in the asylum system. We provide advice and advocacy on housing, social welfare, health and wellbeing, education, family reunification and citizenship and support with integration including a women's group.

Crosscare Migrant Project

We work with intending, existing and returning Irish emigrants, as well as new migrants in Ireland, through direct work with clients, including a Chinese-language clinic with the assistance of volunteer interpreters.  We also produce specialist information resources published through two dedicated websites: www.migrantproject.ie and www.livinginireland.ie.  We have a key focus on policy work to help promote positive changes for the people we work with.
